HP TouchPad Price Starts From $499.99: Release Date & Specs Unveiled



HP finally reveals the price and date of release of their upcoming the HP TouchPad tablet just yesterday. As we all know the latest device by HP will arrive at market on July 1. In terms of competition, HP is undoubtedly the market leader when it comes to PCs, but so far, Apple has dominated the tablet industry. Now it is yet to be seen whether HP TouchPad finally creates a genuine, aggressive challenger for the iPad?

Experts are closely monitoring the market trends to get the answer, but till now we have got no clue. Though HP's webOS-powered slate is quite attractive. Mark Moskowitz of JP Morgan, on the contrary, believes that consumers don't share the same interest we do when we think about the TouchPad, at least the fervor doesn't seem to be enough to drag them away from Apple's iPad 2 craze. Mnay thinks HP's TouchPad which will be running on webOS platform will be a determining factor which will attract tablet who was considering buying an iPad or any Android based tablets which are soon to arrive the stores.
Few analysts said the TouchPad lacks wireless connectivity and it has got limited storage options which are certainly disappointing. May be they will soon think about additional data points as the TouchPad hits the market in upcoming weeks.
