Benfica are interested in signing Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner who has already been tipped to join Fulham or even join the Bundesliga with Bayern Munich or Borussia Dortmund.
However, it is emerging that none of the clubs are willing to pay up what the Gunners want, £12m. As a result, the Portuguese side has decided to bid for the striker, hoping that they can convince him to make the switch.
Bendtner's father Thomas admitted that there is keen interest from Dortmund but they value their interest in the 23-year-old at around £7million. Though Sporting Lisbon were also linked, they have refuted contact yet now their rivals Benfica are weighing up a move to replace Oscar Cardozo who is wanted by Dinamo Kiev.
